Now that Germany has changed the law for acquiring citizenship, has anyone here been through the new process? I heard that instead of 3 years, you now have to live in Germany for 5 years, and that they are also expecting a higher level of German language fluency.

Any help on what I (and my significant other) need to do to obtain citizenship will be really appreciated!
